Contactless smart cards from MIFARE®

MIFARE® is the leading brand of the manufacturer NXP Semiconductors in the field of contactless data transmission with RFID. The smart RFID technology is used worldwide for various applications for the identification of objects or people. The smart cards of the MIFARE® series are contactless RFID smart cards that do not require an additional power supply. They are suitable, for example, as customer cards, membership cards and visitor badges, but are also frequently used in access control and time recording.

All smart cards are equipped with an RFID transponder and comply with ISO standard 14443. The Mifare transponder operates on the 13.56 MHz frequency and has a range of up to 10 cm. The RFID cards do not need their own battery, as they are powered by the magnetic field of the reader or writer. Due to the frequency range used, some MIFARE® chip types are NFC-capable, so they can be read by NFC-supported mobile devices. In addition, the contactless technology means that wear-free use of the RFID cards can be expected.

NXP MIFARE® smart cards are available in blank format as well as printed or personalized cards made of high-quality PVC. We offer a product range of RFID cards from several chip generations with different memory capacities and performance ranges.
