The Entrust SD460 - increased security and durability of ID cards

With the Entrust SD460, Entrust offers a highly productive and at the same time cost-efficient card printer with integrated lamination station. Depending on the model, single-sided or optionally double-sided lamination is thus possible. With this (almost) full-surface, durable lamination, a new level of security is achieved, as a secure overlay protects the cards against fraud. In addition, the increased durability of the plastic cards prevents cost-intensive second issues.

Thanks to advanced technology with useful card security features, the SD460 is perfect for decentralized issuance of personalized ID cards. Optionally, the ID card printer can be upgraded with a magnetic stripe encoder for use with chip and transponder cards in access control systems.

Another innovative security feature for personalizing ID cards is the Tactile Impressor. This enables stamping into the card surface, so that the cards are protected against possible counterfeiting. In addition to easily verifiable standard designs, the company's individual logos can also be imprinted.

Intuitive printer usability for more efficient workflows

The Entrust SD460 card printer produces high-quality results, including high-performance lamination and embossing. The printer also features a unique card smoothing function after lamination, in accordance with ISO quality guidelines. If higher production volumes are required, the card feeder for 100 cards of 0.76 mm thickness can be optionally replaced by an extended card feeder kit for 200 cards.

Thanks to the integrated LCD display, the Entrust SD460 is very easy to operate. In addition, laminate ribbon replacement is easily done from the side, whereas the colour-coded cassettes for holding the laminate ribbons simplify this process. By using an Ethernet or USB interface, the card printer can be integrated into almost any network environment.
